How it All Began
"Having made Australia our home for the last few decades, Vasu and I were ecstatic when we finally built our dream home in Melbourne. Keen to include elements from our Indian roots as well as our adopted country, we embarked on a quest for the perfect 'Oonjal' (swing), which is reminiscent of our childhood homes.
Drawing a sketch of my much-coveted Swing and Mandapam I sent it off to be built by a tradesman, with a view to share our joy with others who have similar taste for quality and asthetics one day. "

Valuable Learnings
"After this initial disappointment, and with considerable effort, we managed to find a willing and able craftsman to 'fix' the swing and Mandapam to a usable state.
This experience taught us that:
1. If you want quality art, find an artist
2. If we desire something, chances are, so do others
With over 30 years of Corporate experience, we want to provide the cost effectiveness to these quality products by applying the operational and supply chain efficiency.
And thus, Sarayu Australia was born. Sarayu Australia's mission is to bring quality, affordable Indian art & crafts to your doorstep.
